MARIA SCHMIEDER April 14, 2012 In Loving Memory of My Dear Mother We knew that morning, God was to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. It's been one year since you have gone, the time has passed so quickly and yet it seems that we have barely caught our breath. Your absence from our lives has not been easy and has not gone unnoticed, even as we attempt to busy ourselves with our daily routines. It's been so difficult because you were such a big part of our everyday life. The after work phone calls, Sunday dinners, the Saturday Farmer's Market, spring gardening, winter vacations, the race track and every holiday family gathering, especially Christmas will never be the same.
